"Ring Or Brighter"

  • Start with your usual warm-up, and breathe correctly.
  • Send the air downwards. You should feel your tummy expanding. The sides of your waist (just above your hips) should also expand when you breathe in. If you are breathing incorrectly, your chest or shoulders will rise as you breathe.
  • Lie down and relax to find the correct way to breathe. Place your hand on your tummy. Your hand should rise when you breathe in.
  • Pick a note that you are comfortable with. It should not be too high nor too low. Do not pick a note if you feel you cannot sustain it, or if it makes your throat hurt.
  • Practice and know that your facial expression is extremely important in order to sound brighter.
  1. Your eyebrows should be raised.
  2. You should look as if you are smiling.
  3. Your mouth should be at least two finger-widths wide.
  • Raise your cheek muscles by placing your knuckles beneath your cheeks and pushing the muscles up gently, but firmly.
  • Breathe in in order to locate where you should channel your voice to. The area which feels cool is where you should attempt to channel your voice to.
